Welcome! These Terms & Conditions outline the rules and guidelines for using The Isle of Whiskers – Thanet cat and small pet sitting services. By booking our services, you agree to the following:
1. Bookings & Deposits

Bookings must be made in advance through our app, website, or direct contact.

A non-refundable deposit (percentage of total booking) is payable at consultation, key collection, or during booking to secure your dates.

All bookings are confirmed once the deposit is received.
2. Meet & Greet / Key Collection

A Meet & Greet is required before the first visit. This allows us to meet your pets, review routines, discuss medications, and collect keys if necessary.

All keys are stored securely.
-
Clients are strongly encouraged to provide a trusted emergency contact who can assist both with emergencies involving your pet and key access if needed.
3. Kitty / Pet Sign-Up Form

Before any visit, you must complete a Pet Sign-Up Form detailing:

Pet health and dietary requirements

Veterinarian contact information
-
Medication instructions (all medications must be explicitly discussed with us beforehand)

Failure to provide accurate information may result in refusal of service.
4. Service Scope & Pet Care Supplies

Services include feeding, litter cleaning, welfare checks, play/attention, and agreed-upon household tasks (mail collection, watering a few plants, etc.).

Clients must provide all food, treats, and cat litter required for the duration of the booking.

For long stays or hospital visits, arrangements can be made to purchase or supply food on your behalf (additional costs apply).

We do not care for reptiles, insects, most birds/aviaries, or animals outside of cats and small furry pets.
5. Emergency Visits & Veterinary Care

In the event your pet requires emergency veterinary treatment, we will attempt to contact you immediately then your emergency contact afterwards.

If you cannot be reached, we will always act in the pet’s best interests.

All pets MUST be registered with a veterinary practice locally.

You are responsible for all veterinary costs incurred during an emergency.
6. Client Responsibilities

Ensure your pets are safe, accessible, and that all instructions are clear.

Provide a trusted emergency contact for both pet emergencies and key access issues.

Notify us of any changes in pet health, routine, or household circumstances.

Supply all food, litter, and medications as required.
7. Payments & Refunds

Deposits are non-refundable. However dates can be transferred.

Payments are due according to the booking agreement.

Payments made in cash or by card in person
-
Refunds for cancellations are only issued at our discretion (except where required by law).
8. Liability

While we take every precaution, we are not liable for:

Pre-existing health conditions or illnesses of pets
-
Accidents beyond our reasonable control

Loss, theft, or damage to property unless directly caused by our negligence

9. Insurance & DBS

We are fully insured and DBS checked, giving peace of mind for both you and your pets **IUNSURED WITH INSERT*.
10. Privacy

Personal and pet information is collected and stored securely.

Data is only used for the purpose of providing services and complying with legal obligations.

We do not share information with third parties for marketing purposes.
11. Agreement
By booking a service with The Isle of Whiskers – Thanet, you confirm that:

You have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions

You have provided all necessary information about your pets, including dietary and health requirements

You have nominated a trusted emergency contact for both pet care and key access
-
You accept the deposit and payment conditions
